I have not read the book by Atty. Sison. There is no such thing as a battered husband syndrome.
there is also no reliable institutional data that proves that men are battered by women

thanks for your comment. but no, RA 9262 is not discriminatory against males. please read my article in the IBP Journal march 2009 and in Phil Law Journal dec 2008 (UP law center has copies). women can also be respondents in 9262 cases. these are women with whom women have or are in lesbian relationships with. so women and men can be respondents in VAWC cases, but only women can file cases under RA 9262

ra9262 is a discriminatory law againsts males. should there be a law – an act against violence against males? why not? there are battered husbands as well. refer to the book by atty sison – abused and battered husbands. ra 9262 has the assumption that only males can do violence. aren’t women fighting for equal rights? where’s the equality here?
